A magnificent gala concert by Svetlana Zakharova, People's Artist of Russia, Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, will be held on NOVAT's Grand Stage as part of the XIII Trans-Siberian Art Festival.
Svetlana Zakharova, People's Artist of Russia, winner of the State Prize of Russia, is both a unique and versatile performer of ballets of classical heritage and contemporary dance, demonstrating her skills in Russia and around the world. The ballerina is successfully experimenting and using modern technical capabilities, and fans of her unique talent are looking forward to meeting with the outstanding artist.
The one-act ballet Carmen Suite will be performed in the first part of the Gala Concert, with Svetlana Zakharova in the title role and Artemy Belyakov, the Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre, as Jose. The second part will present a concert program – the Ballet Stars Gala.
Novosibirsk has always been the heart of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, a Russian forum conceived, founded and led by an outstanding Russian musician, People's Artist of Russia Vadim Repin. The geography of the Festival unites many cities of Russia and different countries of the world. Every year, the Trans-Siberian Art Festival presents premieres of works by contemporary composers: over the past years, the forum has featured works by B. Yusupov, L. Auerbach, A. Raickopoulou, E. Schneider, S. Gubaidulina, A. Raskatov, A. Pärt, I. Demutskiy. World–famous conductors, soloists and ensembles are among the participants of the festival. The most important area is working with beginners and young musicians. The Trans-Siberian Art Festival is highly appreciated by the Russian Government, and its programs are included in the country's cultural presentation at the international level.
