NOVAT presents a grand concert of choral music!
The beauty and seriousness, strictness and diversity of this genre have attracted a wide variety of composers throughout the long history of musical art. Choral music embodies the moral, philosophical, artistic and aesthetic views of society. The power of choral sound can have a special, beneficial effect on listeners.

Russian masterpieces of choral music from the following cycles will be performed in the first part of the concert: “Twelve Part Songs on Poems by Jakov Polonsky” by S. Taneyev, “Four Russian Songs on poems by Nikolai Klyuev” by Y. Falik, “Two Russian Songs” by S. Slonimsky, “Four Choruses on Poems by Andrei Voznesensky” by R. Shchedrin, and concert numbers for the choir – “A Pushkin Wreath” by G. Sviridov, “The Arrival of Spring” by E. Denisov, “Zoryushki-zori” (“Dawns”) by V. Khodosh, choral symphony-performance “Chimes” by V. Gavrilin, as well as choral miniatures by V. Kalinikov, M. Partskhaladze and others. In the second part, on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Alexey Larin's cantata “Soldier's Songs” for a reader, folk voices, academic choir and instrumental ensemble will be presented.
