NOVAT’s pre-holiday playbill contains the names of those artists, whose appearance on the stage is a real big deal for the ballet admirers. This December stars of NOVAT Ballet Company will please the audience with performance of your favorite parts.
Ivan Vasiliev, an Honored Artist of Russia will present his signature part – Basil of Minkus’s “Don Quixote” on the stage of NOVAT on 13th December. Cheerful and sharp-witted Basil was Ivan’s first big part, he has been dancing it since the age of 15; he also danced this part the first time he performed on the Novosibirsk stage in 2007. Ivan Vasiliev’s Basil always steals the audience’s hearts with his charm and humor, brilliant acting and high technical skill. Tchaikovsky’s magical “Nutcracker” will keep bringing the holiday spirit to the audience during two weeks before the New Year. All NOVAT ballet stars will take part in the famous winter fairy-tale.
19th December a new Nutcracker/Prince will appear in the classic Vaynonen’s production – Alexey Tytyunnik will make his debut in a performance marveling with its picturesque scenery and gorgeous costumes. Third generation ballet artist from Kiev previously was a soloist with the Mariinsky theatre (St.-Petersburg) and then in 2017 he got an invitation to NOVAT’s ballet company.
26th December a new principal dancer of NOVAT’s company Ernest Latypov will make his debut as the Nutcracker in a new choreographic rendition of a beloved fairy-tale, staged by the Spanish maestro Nacho Duato. Winner of national and international competitions, one of the most remarkable participants of a project “Big Ballet” on Culture TV-channel, he has recently moved to NOVAT’s ballet company from the Mariinsky theatre.
Honored Artist of Ukraine, director of NOVAT’s ballet company, outstanding dancer Denis Matvienko, who has found a place in the hearts of the Novosibirsk theatre-goers will perform Nutcracker/Prince 27th December.
Anna Zharova will perform Marie in both Nutcracker variations presented in NOVAT’s repertoire with all her skill and artistic charm. She dances Marie in Vaynonen’s rendition on 17th December; then 28th and 30th December she will present this character in the new production by Nacho Duato.
