Nowadays baroque music is charged as rare object that keeps memories of unhasting life, where every word and every gesture were mostly careful and served as inherent part of the ritual. Concert of “Music for Us” cycle will get the listeners acquainted with musical genres of baroque epoch On December 10.
Combination of little known pieces with acknowledged masterpieces is one of peculiarities of chamber concerts of baroque music. The programme of the concert that will take place on December 10 has been made up with an amazing delicacy towards unusual ancient genres -inimitable and unique. Chaconne, ritornelle, tambourine - can be compared with precious exhibits of musical collections demonstrated only to the most dedicated connoisseurs. Some of the genres became a part of history. There was a time when trio-sonata predominated in music: composers, starting from Renaissance and finishing by gallant style, felt a special affection for this genre of chamber-instrumental music. But in the course of time the interest was lost and trio-sonata was transformed into quartet. The programme of the concert on December 10 will include the famous trio-sonata La Folia.
Vocal music will be presented by wide range of genres: from sad lamento arias to comic duets of opera buffa. In order to present to the listeners the pieces by Handel, Pergolesi, Mozart, the orchestra under the guidance of Natalia Zhuk will be joined by the leading opera soloists Serguei Kuzmin, Vladimir Kuchin, Aleksei Laushkin, Irina Novikova and others.
