New Year Holidays in NOVAT

December 21, 2016

Season holidays are drawing on with each day and so is the winter break. Holiday becomes even more anticipated if it's accompanied by a kind-hearted fairy tale and such tales will come to life on the stage of NOVAT. Our holiday playbill includes The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty ballets by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Ringing frosty air, fluffy Christmas tree with fairy lights and most importantly - a feeling of a dearest wish coming true. The Nutcracker immerses the audience into a very special condition, inducing tears of joy. This breathtaking ballet will remain in our playbill until the end of December, The Sleeping Beauty will appear to replace it in January. A story of a dream of love becoming a guiding light, revealing the magical world, and how a kiss of a prince is able to awaken a kingdom long lost in the heart of the woods from a century-old slumber.

Tales From the Vienna Woods gala concert will ornament the holiday playbill: head-spinning whirlwinds of Viennese waltzes and polkas, crispy rhythms of gallops and marches, fabulous tunes from popular operettas - as if here, in snowbound Siberia, the doors to Golden hall of the Viennese Musikverein have suddenly been opened. Spicy dances and sweltering exotic atmosphere of Le Corsaire ballet will carry the audience from severe cold and snowstorms to sweet bliss of the sizzling East.
