NOVAT-BRASS invites you to the concert Kaleidoscope of Wind Instruments!
Russian music has evolved from the first national operas by Mikhail Glinka to popular Soviet music. It was Glinka who laid the foundations of the Russian school of composition, and Tchaikovsky made its music recognizable worldwide thanks to its distinctive melodiousness and expressiveness. In the 20th century, this tradition was continued by Soviet composers, whose songs and instrumental works became part of the cultural memory of several generations.
The concert program, which will take place in the theatre's foyer, will feature works by Russian composers performed by the NOVAT-Brass ensemble and opera soloists. The first part is devoted to classical music from Glinka to Tchaikovsky. The second part will feature works by Babajanyan and other Soviet composers.
The "Kaleidoscope of Wind Instruments" combines music from different eras in a vibrant concert program, where familiar melodies will be revealed in the new sound of the wind ensemble.
