Revival Costume Designer
Aurelia Lyon began her career at the age of 20, in the fashion field and has been selected for the Mediterranean Young Designers Biennale. In 1989 she joined the «Ballet National de Marseille» created by Roland Petit and collaborated ever since as costume supervisor for some prestigious masterpieces like Carmen, Notre Dame de Paris, Coppélia, Ma Pavlova, L’Arlésienne…
Since the 2000’s she has been creating costumes for several choreographers invited to create for the Ballet National de Marseille including Carolyn Carlson, Richard Wherlock, Lucinda Childs and others. Then, under Frédéric Flamand’s direction at the Ballet, she also created costumes for some of his creations including her collaboration for the creation of costumes and props with the Brazilian designers The Campanas brothers for the piece Metamorphosis.
Since 2020 she has been a freelancer working regularly as costume designer for French Television series.
