On Russia Day, a festive gala concert Unity of the Muses will be held on NOVAT's Grand Stage. This is a large-scale joint project of the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after People's Artist of the USSR G. Tsydynzhapov, which unites different cultures of our big country by the power of music and inspiration and is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
This evening, the audience will enjoy a vibrant creative collaboration between two music groups united by respect for traditions and a desire for artistic dialogue. The leading soloists of the Buryat Opera and Ballet Theatre, as well as NOVAT artists will take the stage. The program includes works by Buryat composers filled with original melodies and poetic images of their native land, as well as masterpieces of Russian and world opera and ballet classics.
The first part of the concert will introduce the audience to the richness of Buryat musical culture. Vocal compositions by contemporary authors will be performed, as well as a fragment of the ballet Angara the Beauty, one of the key works of the national repertoire. The second part will feature famous arias and duets from operas by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, M. Mussorgsky, A. Borodin, W. A. Mozart, G. Verdi, G. Puccini, G. Bizet, S. Gounod and other composers.
