Laureate of the National Opera Awards “Onegin”

Since 2008, Gury Guryev studied at the viola class of the Novosibirsk Special Music School. In 2018, he graduated from the vocal faculty of the Novosibirsk State Conservatory named after M. Glinka (class of the People’s Artist of Russia, Prof. Z. Didenko). In 2017, he studied at the International Summer Academy (ISA) of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) in the class of Professor Karlheinz Hanser (Austria).

Since 2017, he has been a soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. He studied at the International Summer Academy (ISA) of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) in the class of Professor Karlheinz Hanser (Austria, 2017). He performed the roles of Figaro (Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro), Giorgio Germont (Verdi’s La Traviata), Tomsky (Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades) on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

The soloist’s opera repertoire on the Novosibirsk stage includes about 25 roles as follows: Grigory Gryaznoy (The Tsar’s Bride); Tomsky (The Queen of Spades), Robert (Iolanta), Prince Igor (Prince Igor), Eugene Onegin (Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky); Shchelkalov (Boris Godunov by Mussorgsky), Mizgir (The Snow Maiden), Aleko (Aleko), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro); Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni); Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia); Marcello (La boheme); Escamillo (Carmen); Silvio (Pagliacci); Amonastro (Aida); Angelotti (Tosca); Ford (Falstaff); Ping (Turandot); Duke (The Miserly Knight); Ghost of Virgil (Francesca da Rimini), etc.

In 2019 and 2020, he became the winner of the National Opera Award “Onegin”.

Since 2022, he has also been a guest soloist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre: he has performed baritone parts in operas by W. A. Mozart and P. Tchaikovsky.

In 2024, he became the winner of the award named after Z. Didenko.
