Anna Zharova graduated from the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School (1997, class of Honored Artist of Russia T. Kapustina).
Since 1997, she has been with the Company of the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre. She has a large repertoire of leading roles in classical and contemporary ballets. On the stage of the theatre, she performed the following parts: Giselle (Giselle by Adam, choreography by Coralli, Perrot, Petipa, staged by Vikharev), Marie, Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker, choreography by Ivanov, Vainonen, Vikharev), Princess Aurora, Diamond Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Petipa, revised by Sergeev), Shirin (The Legend of Love by Melikov, choreography by Grigorovich), Swanilda (Coppelia by L. Delibes, choreography by M. Petipa, restored by Vikharev; Golden Mask Award), Phrygia (Spartacus by Khachaturian, choreography by Grigorovich), Soloist (Sonata by D. She toured with the Theatre Company in Spain, Portugal, Japan, Egypt, Thailand, China, Italy, France, South Korea, and Kazakhstan. She participated in international projects in South Korea and Finland.
Laureate of the National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” (2002). She was repeatedly nominated for the Golden Mask Award, multiple winner of the Novosibirsk Theatre Award “Paradise”.
In 2013, the author's Ballet School “The Firebird” by Anna Zharova was opened.
In 2014, Anna Zharova graduated from the Siberian Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, with a degree in Personnel Management.
In the 2012-2013 season, she was a member of the judging panel of the National Theatre Award “Golden Mask”.

- 2010 Laureate of the “Ballerina” Award of the Fund for support and development of ballet named in honor of Igor Zelensky, Novosibirsk.
