Mikhail Lifentsev graduated from the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School /College (2009, teacher M. Koltunov).

Since 2009, he has been in the Company of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. On the stage of the theatre, he has performed the following parts: Prince Orchard, Spanish Dance, Rose Waltz (The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Ivanov, Vainonen, Vikharev); Prince Fleur de Pois (The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Petipa, revised by Sergeev, staged by Vikharev); Count Rezanov (Juno and Avos, music by Rybnikov); Five Soloists (Who Cares? music by Gershwin, choreography by Balanchine); Soloist (Serenade, music by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Balanchine); Five Soloists (Immortal Beloved, music by Glass, choreography by Liang, world premiere); Jose. Escamillo (Carmen by R. Petit with the music by Bizet), Soloist (Walpurgis Night from opera Faust by Gounod, choreography by Simonov); Tribe of the Sun (The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky, choreography by P. de Bana, world premiere), Soloist (Dreams under Leaden Sky with the music of Bosso and Lang, choreography by Faski, world premiere), etc.

In the record of the dancer there are numerous successful performances (with the Company of the theatre and in other projects) in many cities of Russia and abroad: Moscow (repeated participation at the National Theatre Festival Golden Mask, 2009, 2011, 2014; the stages of the Bolshoi Theatre and the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre), participation in the tour of NOVAT on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre (2019, Swan lake, The Sleeping Beauty), St. Petersburg (the Mariinsky theatre: Creative Evening of Igor Zelensky, Ballet Festival Mariinsky), Yaroslavl (2009), Vladivostok (2012, 2014), Rostov-on-don (2018), Omsk (2018, 2019), Sevastopol (2019), Chelyabinsk (2021); Spain, France, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Thailand, India, Canada, Hungary and other countries. He participated in the premiere performances of the theatre nominated for the Golden Mask Award: La Bayadere, Whispers in the Dark, Who Cares?, The Rite of Spring.

In 2024, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
