Winner of an All-Russian competition

Roman Polkovnikov graduated from Novosibirsk State Choreographic School / College (2005)

Since 2005, he has been in the Company of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. On the stage of the theatre, he has performed the following parts: Albert, Additional Pas-de-deux (Giselle by Adam, choreography by Coralli, Perrot, Petipa), Prince Desire (The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Petipa); Prince Orchard (The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Ivanov, Vainonen, Vikharev); Soloist (Sonata with the music by Scarlatti, choreography by Simonov); Soloist (Come in! with the music by Martynov, choreography by Simonov); Apollo (Apollo by Stravinsky, choreography by Balanchine); Soloist (Pas-de-deux by Tchaikovsky with the music from Swan Lake ballet, choreography by Balanchine); Soloist. Five Soloists (Who Cares? with the music by Gershwin, choreography by Balanchine); Six Soloists (Immortal Beloved with the music by Glass, choreography by Liang, world premiere); Ibeji twins (The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky, choreography by Patrick de Bana, world premiere); Soloist (Dreams under Leaden Sky with the music by Bosso and Lang, choreography by E. Faski, world premiere), and other. Since 2015 hó has been a guest soloist with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theatre. With the ballet Company, he has toured in South Korea, China, France, Thailand, Spain, Kazakhstan, and Hungary. He also performed in the UK as a participant with an international project (2006).
