Collection of Foreign Romances is a captivating concert dedicated to the exquisite chamber vocal lyricism by leading Western European composers.
Together with the opera soloists, you will plunge into the fascinating world of French musical expressionism, by listening to the works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Ernest Chausson. You will also hear the deep, soulful lyricism of German and Austrian romantics – Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann. A special place in the program will be occupied by rare gems of Spanish vocal art – the compositions of Xavier Montsalvatge and Jimenez, filled with southern warmth and flavour. And, of course, the program will feature famous vocal miniatures by Italian classics Gioachino Rossini and Gaetano Donizetti.
