“Happy Birthday, our Theatre of Victory!”

A grand gala concert in honour of the 81st anniversary of the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre will be held on the Grand Stage.

The Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is one of the largest and most significant musical theatres in Russia, a symbol of Siberia's cultural might and a birthplace of vibrant stage events. This year, the theatre celebrates its 81st anniversary, and to mark the occasion, audiences will enjoy a special evening—a celebration of tradition, inspiration, and brilliant artistry, uniting the theatre's finest talents and distinguished guests.

Opera soloists, ballet stars, the theatre's symphony orchestra and choir will perform on the NOVAT Grand Stage. Guest artists from the Mariinsky Theatre—Principal Dancer Nadezhda Batoeva and First Soloist Konstantin Zverev—will be a special highlight of the evening. A younger generation, students from the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School, will also join the celebration.

The concert program features the best opera and ballet numbers from world masterpieces. The first part will include dazzling works of operatic classics: from the sparkling overtures by Mikhail Glinka to the passionate arias by Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini, from the elegant French lyricism by Leo Delibes to the dramatic scenes by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The second part is a dance extravaganza, bringing legendary ballet numbers to life: the graceful classicism of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, the oriental sensuality of Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, and the fiery energy of Aram Khachaturian's Sabre Dance will create a kaleidoscope of styles, eras, and moods.

This evening will be a true declaration of love to our beloved Theatre—its artists, its history, and its audiences.
