The world premiere of the ballet Winnie-the-Pooh for children and their parents is held at NOVAT!
The new NOVAT ballet performance Winnie-the-Pooh is a mysterious portal to a country where time slows down to give an encounter with childhood. A sun-drenched path leads to a cosy, incredibly beautiful world of a fairy-tale forest, where you will meet a funny little bear named Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends: Piglet, who loves balloons, sad donkey Eeyore, who lost his tail, wise Owl, who is the oldest inhabitant of the fairy-tale forest and, of course ... bees! But that's not all!
Choreographer Alexander Omar has prepared real surprises for the theatre-goers. Venerable Owl has become an elegant dance teacher, although her ability to find lost tails has not gone away. Piglet is now enthusiastically hunting for fluttering butterflies, and his stock of balloons is replenished with amazing regularity. The fairy-tale forest wakes in to life thanks to mysterious Poohs, funny creatures similar to the main character. Together they dance, play and fight off bees (which, by the way, are not at all wrong, but simply do not like it when their honey is taken without asking). The characters will have exciting adventures in the thicket of thistles, a fashionable presentation of tails and even real ballooning.
The kind, colourful performance will give an unforgettable experience to the whole family. Hurry to visit Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends!
ACT 1. The new adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Scene 1. Waking up and vigorous exercise
In a green clearing in a fairy-tale forest, the night is receding under the rays of the rising sun. Little funny creatures Poohs wake up to a gentle melody, and Winnie the Pooh himself appears from his house. Full of enthusiasm, he announces that he has composed new, incredibly effective movements for morning workout.
Rousing music helps the inhabitants of Winnie-the-Pooh Land perform funny, energetic exercises and enjoy the new day.
Scene 2. The first failure
There is a loud rumbling in the bear's stomach: “Isn't it time for me to eat?”
Winnie the Pooh sees a tall oak tree with a hive in which bees live. It seems to him that they are working exclusively for him, and sweet mirages appear in his imagination – huge pots of golden honey. But one won't get enough of fantasies alone! Winnie awkwardly climbs the tree, but falls before reaching the treat.
Scene 3. A clever plan
The cheerful little bear does not give up. He develops a new ingenious plan: to get to honey using a balloon, which his best friend Piglet probably has.
At this time, Piglet is gracefully dancing with fluttering butterflies near his house. His dance is interrupted by the appearance of Winnie the Pooh, who wants to attract a puzzled Piglet to participate in the “great plan”.
Scene 4. Air operation and bee attack
Armed with a beautiful, large blue balloon, the friends return to the oak tree. Winnie flies up to the coveted hive. A menacing swarm of bees attacks the unlucky sweet tooth. Terrified Winnie calls for help. Piglet, who has thoughtfully taken a gun just in case, shoots the balloon. The little bear falls to the ground.
The cunning plan failed.
Scene 5. A big celebration
Having failed, Winnie the Pooh sits down on a stump and cries bitterly. One of the bees gives him a pot of honey as a consolation. The little bear is touched by this gesture and thanks the bees with an armful of beautiful forest flowers. In return, he receives a huge jar of fragrant honey.
There is a big celebration in the clearing – Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, bees and Poohs are dancing merrily together. The sun is setting, so it's time to sleep. Tomorrow is a new day full of amazing adventures!
ACT 2. A lost tail and an unexpected holiday
Scene 1. An incredible loss
A new morning in the clearing begins cheerfully. The Poohs get up first, they wake Winnie the Pooh and Piglet – it's time to do exercises! Suddenly, sad donkey Eeyore appears in the clearing. He joins the workout, but suddenly everyone notices that he doesn't have a tail. The donkey is even more upset. Cheerful Winnie the Pooh invites his friends to find a new tail for Eeyore.
Scene 2. Presentation of tails
The Poohs are putting on a real show for Eeyore! One by one, they demonstrate the most amazing tails:
• The fox's tail is graceful and elegant, like a saxophone in the hands of a virtuoso;
• The crocodile’s tail is hooligan and powerful one, to the rhythms of a lively dance;
• The peacock’s tail is an oriental fairy tale with a fan, exquisite and mesmerizing;
• The lemur's tail is bright and energetic, like Latin dancing;
• The fishtail has colourful scales and a large fin.
Scene 3. Vain consolations
The donkey doesn't like any tail. He needs his favourite little one. Completely upset, he leaves. Winnie the Pooh runs home to get a pot of honey, wanting to comfort his friend. Piglet decides to give Eeyore his best balloon.
But Winnie the Pooh can't resist eating all the honey on the way. And Piglet is in such a hurry to Eeyore that he stumbles and bursts the balloon.
Scene 4. Dance school and the solution
There is a lesson going on at the Owl’s ballet school. She accompanies on the piano, and her owlet students diligently repeat the choreographic steps. The lesson is interrupted by the ringing of a bell. It's Winnie the Pooh! He notices that the string tied to the bell is the tail of donkey Eeyore.
Owl tells about her discovery: this beautiful string was hanging alone on a thistle bush. But now she realizes that it's not just a string, but the tail of sad Eeyore.
Scene 5. Happy ending, or Eeyore's birthday
Eeyore is sad in the clearing. Piglet gives him a burst balloon, and Winnie the Pooh gives him an empty pot. But the main gift is given by Owl – she solemnly returns the Donkey’s favorite tail to him! Unusual gifts delight Eeyore, and today is his birthday!
All that's missing is a birthday cake! But here it is, big and sweet!
Eeyore blows out the candle on the cake and makes a wish: “So that everyone isn’t sad on his or her birthday and receives gifts from real friends!”
Friendly inhabitants of the forest are dancing merrily. They have new fun adventures ahead of them.
