We continue to introduce you to the opera rarities of the Baroque era! At the concert Autumn Evening at NOVAT you will find a real exclusive – a combination of rare Baroque operas, masterpieces of Viennese classics and early romanticism.
You will hear excerpts from Johann Mattheson's opera Boris Goudenow, the first European opera based on a Russian plot. You will also get acquainted with Giovanni Paisiello's opera Il barbiere di Siviglia, ovvero La precauzione inutile, which was commissioned by Catherine II and inspired Mozart to create Le Nozze di Figaro. The program also includes items from Mozart's singspiels Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario) and Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio), arias from operas by Joseph Haydn and other works.
